Watching kids develop can fascinate you. Many people have their minds blown when they learned just how complicated a process baby development is. There is more to being a baby than is immediately discernable. Sure babies are cute, but they are incredibly complicated creatures. They have their own sets of wants and needs that must be met to ensure that they develop properly. There is a lot more to infancy than meets the eye. Good parents learn everything they can about how their children are developing, even in the early stages of infancy.
Did you know already that babies are not very good at telling colors apart? Not only does it take a while for the synapses in a baby’s brain to fully connect, their eyes take a few months to mature as well. Armageddon Paydays this is why rooms painted in primary colors and toys painted or made of primary colored fabric are usually better received by babies. You should focus the color scheme for your baby on bright reds and blues and greens or even on black and white. In the eyes of a baby, a lot of pastel colors look pretty much the same.
This is one of the reasons that babies will sometimes choose one toy over another. Pastels are meant more for an adult’s sense of cuteness while the black and white things that are so often turned down are actually better for your son or daughter’s development. You’re already aware that a fetus can hear sounds while he is still in his mother’s womb. Many sounds cause babies to have strong reactions—reactions that have been recorded before the baby is born. Did you know, though, that decibel levels are just as important while the baby is in the womb as it is once the baby is born? A fetus’s ears are impressionable and sensitive. Doctors recommend that, while women are pregnant that they keep their music, televisions, etc below the level of a modern vacuum cleaner. Even your vacuum cleaner pushes the limits of your baby’s comfort so you will want to keep the noise level in your home down and avoid loud noises outside as well.
Experts agree that too much mercury is terrible for pregnancy but there are some forms of fish that are mercury free and eating them is a good idea. By now you’ve probably had a bunch of your friends as well as your doctor tell you that you should be eating salmon because it contains a bunch of healthful properties that you and your baby need and it is mercury free. There are experts out there who believe that eating fish while she is pregnant can help a mother improve the function of her baby’s brain and that will help her child develop superior communication skills later in life—more so than those children born to mothers who did not eat fish. This theory is still just that: a theory, so do not beat yourself up for neglecting your baby’s brain if you don’t eat fish, can’t eat fish or simply haven’t eaten that much fish during your pregnancy.
There are plenty of developmental facts about babies that few people know. Ironically, the more information an adult has on a subject the more patience he or she usually has for it when faced with it.
